Tamara Danielsson
Think of cool jazz, smooth jazz, contemporary jazz ... each conjures up a different image for every individual. Think of any of those styles then blend in sophistication, a strong command of the instrument and a flavor reminiscent of vintage jazz, and the music of Tamara Danielsson comes to mind.
This well-schooled and versatile saxophonist has performed worldwide. Her sound has been heard from the stages of Switzerland’s Montreux Jazz festival, Italy’s Umbria Jazz Fest, South Africa’s International Music Fest, Houston’s Kool Jazz Fest and Jacksonville’s Jazz Fest.
Her talent has allowed her to perform with great players and performers such as jazz legend Dizzy Gillespie, jazz/pop singer superstar Bob James, soul and blues icons Ray Charles and Aretha Franklin and Motown’s Smokey Robinson and Diana Ross.
Currently fronting her own group with pianist/composer Per Danielsson, Tamara’s music can be heard on her solo CD "So It Goes" and on the soon to be released "Gottlieb Danielsson Project".
